Beni Fleischer
Integrative Counsellor

In-Person or Online Therapy sessions £75

I grew up in Australia and, following a ten year stay in Israel, have been living and working in the UK for the last 20 years. Following completing my counselling training, I have been working as an integrative therapist for the last 5 years.

I’m a meaning driven person who really values being genuine and I try to connect my inner world and outer world in a way that feels right. I’m a husband and father and care a lot about my family. I contemplate life and its purpose, relationships, meaning, spirituality, identity and truth-seeking quite a bit, which I find helps me have the language and concepts to relate to other people’s inner worlds and journeys. I also prioritise being open to other people’s experiences and perspectives, which I enjoy learning from.  I’m Jewish and religious (Charedi), which I find really meaningful and fulfilling, and I’ve studied the Torah approach to self-awareness and spirituality quite extensively. Aside from counselling and psychotherapy, I’ve trained as a classical musician, and worked as a communal Rabbi, a Chazzan, and a school teacher. With English as my mother tongue, I am also conversant in Hebrew and Yiddish, and facile with German, and I’ve also travelled quite extensively.

I work with the following groups of people:

  • Men in mid-life stage (approx. ages 35-50)

  • Couples therapy for married couples of all ages

  • Group therapy for men ages 25+.

  • Spiritual coaching in Orthodox Judaism for men of all ages (individual and group)

  • Male adolescents & young people ages 15-25

Issues I deal with:

  • mood related disorders including anxiety and depression

  • adjustment disorders (getting used to a new stage or situation)

  • trauma related emotional and behavioural difficulties

  • some forms of addiction

  • difficulties manifesting in relationships including intimate and interpersonal

  • issues around academic or work performance

  • spiritual issues in Orthodox Judaism
